Pennard Vets Allington is part of the independent, employee-owned Pennard Vets group. The website highlights a “Stress-free and Positive Pet” accreditation and says the practice handles its own out-of-hours work so clients see a familiar face.
From the latest reviews, this branch appears set up for long-term general practice care for dogs and cats, with particular emphasis on calm handling and time spent explaining options. Owners give concrete examples such as one-to-one confidence-building sessions with a vet nurse for a very nervous dog, and vets taking time to answer questions and talk through choices. One recent reviewer was happy with the appointment but felt the cost was high (£93 for a 10-minute consultation plus eye drops).

The staff here are brilliant,so friendly and caring, real animal lovers. Whenever we have to take our doggies into Pennards they look after them brilliantly. Couldn't wish for better care for our fur babies. They always do everything they can for the animals here.

Staff and vet were very nice. Very efficient my only criticism was the cost. A 10min consultation and eye drops £93.00.Seems expensive to me.

Really impressed with the vet I saw yesterday at Allington. She was very kind and calm with my dog Poppy. She was very patient. It made for a really great experience!

I have had pets for over 40 years and these vets have been amazing ! All of the staff that we encountered were super friendly, taking the time to speak to Luna and get to know her. We saw Joanna the vet and she was incredibly knowledgeable, super informative and so friendly. The Allington practice have passed expectations on every level and would not hesitate to recommend them Thank you to all the amazing staff.

I have had a 28 year relationship (so far) with Pennards caring for my family’s pets past and present, I wouldn’t choose anywhere else. The staff are always lovely and helpful especially the wonderful Karen, Chris, Eleanor, Jo and Nia at Allington branch. Keep up the great work!

I have a 2 year old Jack Russell Callie and she is very scared of people and lots of other things, I had to carry her in the vet and she would shake from head to food, very upsetting to see her. It was suggested to attend one to one with a vet nurse once a week to build her confidence for vet visits. We have been a few times now to visit Chris and all I can say is, Chris is amazing. Callie now pulls to get into the door, gets on the scales herself and very eager to get into the room with Chris. This on its own is so lovely to see but it has had a very positive effect on Callie outside of the vets, she now let's some people pet her on a walk, she has got a lot more confidence and improving each week. So from Callie and myself having a much happier life, we say a big, big thank you Chris and can't wait for the next appointment.

My cat has been visiting Pennard Vets Allington for 18 years. All the staff in that time have been lovely, welcoming and friendly and recently have gone above and beyond during my cat's recent ailment. I can't fault the practice. Your pet will undoubtedly get better care from the Pennard's team than you do from your GP!
